Thanks for the memories Matt Light, as he officially announces his retirement this morning. The bearded brotherhood will never be the same without their leader.
When a team drafts a left tackle it’s easy to speculate that they won’t have to worry about the position for another decade, but Matt Light is an instance where that is actually true.
He was the heart and soul of an offensive line that protected Tom Brady in six conference championships and five Super Bowls. It just doesn’t get any better than that.
I’m beyond excited for this game tonight. I’ve been a Patriots fan for a LONG time and as I’ve said before…there is something extra special about this year’s team. Could it be the MHK factor? Maybe. Could it be the fact that this team has overcome so much adversity? Sure. Perhaps its a little bit of everything. Regardless, I’m so proud of this team and proud to be a fan of this organization.
With that being said, I’m hoping for a huge Patriots victory over a very tough/talented Giants team. I can’t speak highly enough about how good this Giants team is so our work is cut out for us. However, I believe Brady will find Ochocinco…finally! And Hernandez will have a great game as well. I’ll also be excited to see Gronk out there tonight, too. Lets go, Pats! Lets do it one more time…for MHK.

The flat, playoff-bound Pats were trailing the Buffalo Bills, 21-0. The crowd was booing. It was then that team owner Robert Kraft turned to longtime assistant Al LaBelle and sent him on a mission.
“I said, ‘Al, go put that picture in the locker room,’ ” Kraft was saying yesterday, sitting in his cluttered, warehouse-like office at Gillette Stadium.
“From the moment it went in,” said Kraft, “(Buffalo) didn’t score a point and we scored 49 points. So I don’t know. I know that winning requires good execution, but I just believe, I just believe . . .”
